Recently the Lost Media community has tried to find the alleged mop product that led to the original SpongeBoy name to be dropped, and it seems like that mop simply never existed and is most likely misremembered:
The video is well-researched and its creator has even contacted the original cast, but I sadly can't find any more reliable source that has picked this up so far. Should the Spongebob character article should begin with "SpongeRobert "Spongebob" Squarepants". I don't think the name SpongeRobert is as common as other characters' full names.
